Comfort Blanket Program

Donor Network West created the Donor Family Comfort Blanket Program for organ and tissue donor families to keep them warm and comforted during their hospital stay. Families can be in hospitals ranging from a few days to weeks with their loved one.

We welcome individuals and groups to crochet, knit, quilt or make fleece blankets for these families. The blankets are used by the families themselves or laid over their loved one. The families take the blankets home for continued comfort and to remember the lifesaving gift their loved one gave to others through donation.
