Comfort Kit Program
Donor Network West created the Donor Family Comfort Kit Program to provide care and support to families who are at their loved one’s bedside. Families can be in hospitals ranging from a few days to weeks with their loved one.
We welcome individuals and groups to prepare kits for these families who experiencing a traumatic event. Comfort Kits can be completed with ease and make a big impact.
How To Make A Comfort Kit
Select these suggested items to add into a gallon sized ziploc bag:
- Water bottle and/or reusable water bottle
- Granola/protein bars
- Tissue
- Toothbrush + Toothpaste
- Hand sanitizer
- Feminine products (pads)
- Hand wipes
- Hand lotion
- Nail file
- Combs/travel brush/hair ties
- Deodorant
- Pad of paper/pen
- Activity book- word search
- Chapstick
- Mints
- Children’s toys: Hot Wheels, coloring books with crayons, puzzles, etc.
Stationary- blank note cards
