Donor Network West's Birth Tissue Program offers expectant mothers a unique and meaningful opportunity to give the gift of life to others. By donating the umbilical cord and placental tissue after delivery, mothers contribute to the creation of tissue-based allografts, which are used as protective coverings or barriers for internal and external tissue defects. This generous act comes at no cost to the donor and allows mothers to make a lasting impact on society, helping to heal and save lives.

The Gift of Healing

How Does It Work?

Our process is simple.
Our Birth Tissue Coordinator will walk you through each step of the donation process, answer all your questions, and complete the required paperwork. The Birth Tissue acquisition will occur after your baby is delivered and assessed. Once collected, the Birth Tissue Coordinator will handle the packaging and shipment of your donated Birth Tissue. The Birth Tissue will be used to make life-changing grafts to heal and improve the lives of others.
